Responding to Emergencies

Learn the skills necessary to respond to emergency situations and discover how practicing a healthy lifestyle can help prevent injury and sudden illness. You’ll also be trained to make first aid decisions and provide care for a wide variety of emergencies until professional medical help arrives. You must attend all sessions to receive certification.

This course fulfills the First Aid requirement for New York State camp counselors. An optional one-hour module on administration of an Epinephrine Auto-Injector for camp counselors will be offered.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Any individual who wants in-depth first aid training, as well as New York State camp counselors 

ALSO INCLUDED 
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification.
Note: please indicate your desired training date based on community course schedule.


CERTIFICATIONS
First Aid-Responding to Emergencies (3 years); Epinephrine Injection Module (optional; 1 year); CPR for the Professional Rescuer (2 years).
